Required Network Information for Licensing
To proceed with sales and licensing, network information must
be provided to your sales representative. The creation of your license file will
require you to provide the network information for the licensing machine whether
it is floating or node-locked license. If you are purchasing a node-locked
license, your client machine will be your licensing.
There are three type of network information you will need to provide:
MAC Address - A unique identifier assigned to a network interface controller for use as a network address in communications within a network segment.
host_name - A unique label assigned to a device connected to a computer network
CID - A unique
identify based on a number of system parameters, including (but not limited to)
MAC address, host name, and operating system
All three of this network information can be found using the
getcid application and the getcid application .zip folder is attached to this article.
The .zip folder includes getcid applications for Windows and Linux operating system. After executing the getcid application, you will see the
following output for your machine. 
Please share the FIRST CID and MAC among all your
network adapters and the host_name with your sales representative.
