ADINA Structures TRANSOR for Femap Menu: Analysis Settings
Access the Analysis Settings menu as shown below.
This menu is where the ADINA Structures analysis type is defined. The menu options do vary based on which analysis type is selected. For the dynamic analyses, there are various time integration options and also Contact Damping options. Contact damping applies a numerical damping to components of any contact forces. This is one common technique that can be used to reduce high frequency oscillations and noise in the contact forces. Reducing this noise that is present in the integrated force and acceleration terms can aid convergence of the dynamic solution.
