ADINA Structures Model Settings Menu
Access the Model Settings menu as shown below.
The Model Settings menu has many options available. A brief description for each option can be found in the ADINA TRANSOR for Femap User Guide.
Some options that commonly need to be changed from the default settings are the Kinematic Settings and the Rigid Element Settings. Below, the Large Displacements/Rotations formulation is selected. This is necessary if large displacements and geometric nonlinearities are expected in the analysis. Also, the RBAR and RBE2 options are set to 1..Rigid. This means that RBAR and RBE2 elements will be treated as truly rigid elements. Other options include flexible formulations for these element types.
