Simcenter STAR-CCM+ License Server Change Request

Changing your STAR-CCM+ license to a new server will require you to complete, sign, and return a server change request form.  Please submit a support ticket for the form.

You will need the following information from the old and new license server machines:
  1. License sold-to ID
  2. Host name of the license server machine and can be edited if incorrect.
  3. MAC address of the active Network Interface Card of the license server machine that is "always" active, typically the Ethernet Connection. 
  4. Product Code, Product Description, and quantity described at the bottom of you license file.

You may find the Host name and MAC address by downloading and running “getcid_xx.exe” (same version as your server machine OS) on the host machine from this shared external sharing location, External Sharing - Software - All Documents.
