Using Autodesk Nastran with FEMAP

FAQ: How do I set up FEMAP with Autodesk Nastran?

In order to get FEMAP to point to Autodesk Nastran one needs to modify a few system environment variables. Administrative privilege levels will be needed for this task.
  1. NENAST_EXE : C:\\Program FilesAutodeskNastran 2015EditorEditor.exe
  2. NENAST_INT: C:\\Program FilesAutodeskNastran 2015NASTRAN.INIWhen you set up an analysis for Autodesk Nastran, this allows FEMAP to send the analysis jot to Autodesk Nastran for analysis and automatically load the results.


You may also set this up from within FEMAP.
  1. On the pull down menu select File – Preferences
  2. Click on the Solvers tab
  3. Fill in the path to the Autodesk Nastran executable.

When you set up an analysis for Autodesk Nastran, this allows FEMAP to send the analysis jot to Autodesk Nastran for analysis and automatically load the results.
