What is ADINA TRANSOR for Femap?

TRANSOR for Femap is a graphical user-interface that enables Femap users to easily use ADINA as the solver.  This is a powerful tool provided by ADINA with Femap users in mind.  Users can benefit from the many analysis capabilities and features of the ADINA solver, while performing all pre- and post-processing in the Femap environment.

TRANSOR for Femap is fully integrated within the Femap environment and offers menus for pre- and post-processing finite element models that use ADINA as the solver.  It works by communicating with Femap via its Application Programming Interface (API).  The graphical user interface menus allow users to define ADINA specific model and analysis parameters for structures, CFD, and fluid-structure interaction.

TRANSOR for Femap handles necessary element and model conversions from common Femap definitions to ADINA specific definitions.  The ADINA analysis can be launched directly from the TRANSOR for Femap menu.  Lastly, ADINA results can be converted to either a Femap neutral file or a Nastran OP2 file, which can then be imported directly into Femap.

Installing ADINA TRANSOR for Femap is Easy

When installing ADINA, select 'Custom Installation'.  When prompted by the installation menu, activate the 'TRANSOR for Femap' option.

Once the ADINA installation is complete, open Femap.  Under the 'Custom Tools' menu, select the 'Install ADINA Menu'.  This will activate the custom ADINA pre- and post-processing toolbar in Femap.
